Game Overview

Ever stumbled across one of those weird, obscure Atari 2600 cartridges that makes you go "wait, what?" That’s basically 2 Pak Special Black. It’s a PAL-region oddball from HES that crams two completely different games into one chunky cartridge.

First there’s Challenge—no idea what it actually is, but given the era, it’s probably some brutal reflex test or a barebones high-score thing. Then there’s Surfing, which sounds exactly like what you’d expect: blocky waves, a pixelated surfer, and the kind of janky controls that make you question if anyone at HES had ever seen the ocean.

It’s not exactly a hidden gem, but if you’re into digging up weird retro relics, this one’s got that "why does this exist?" charm. The kind of thing you’d toss to a friend mid-vintage gaming night just to watch them squint at the screen.
