Game Overview

I picked up 2 Pak Special - Dolphin, Pigs 'N Wolf a few years back, a 1990 release for the Atari 2600. It came out when the system was well past its prime, a time when you'd find some truly oddball stuff in bargain bins. The game was published by Atari themselves, I believe, and it's exactly the kind of late-era curiosity that makes collecting for the 2600 so interesting.

You control two different characters across the two games. In the first, you're a dolphin that has to leap over jellyfish and other sea obstacles. In the second, you play as a pig that must rebuild its house before a wolf reaches it. The main objective is simple survival, avoiding enemies and completing small tasks under pressure. Signature mechanics include timing your jumps precisely to clear hazards and quickly moving building blocks into place while the wolf patrols the screen. The pacing is frantic, especially in the pig segment, and the difficulty ramps up quickly. It feels chaotic and a little clumsy, but there's a strange satisfaction in mastering its jittery rhythms.
