Game Overview

Okay, so 20 Sprites At Once Demo 1 isn’t exactly a "game" in the usual sense—it’s more like watching someone pull off a magic trick on an Atari 2600. The whole thing is just 20 little sprites bouncing around smoothly, which shouldn’t be impressive… except the 2600 was famously terrible at handling more than a couple moving objects without flickering like crazy.

I fired it up expecting a mess, but nope—everything moves cleanly, no glitches, no disappearing sprites. It’s one of those "how did they even do this?" moments if you’ve ever tried coding for the system. No story, no points, just pure tech flexing. Weirdly hypnotic to watch, though.

Definitely more for retro nerds or aspiring 2600 devs than casual players. You can practically hear the programmer grinning while the hardware sweats.
