Game Overview

64 Oozumou 2 is one of those weirdly specific N64 gems—a full-on sumo wrestling sim that somehow nails the slow, tactical shoving matches of the real sport. At first, the controls feel clunky (you're basically a giant meat cube waddling around), but once you get the hang of timing your charges and counter-shoves, it clicks. The wrestlers all have different weights and styles, so picking a lightweight speedster versus a hulking immovable object totally changes how you play.

Matches are quick but tense—one wrong step and you're yeeted out of the ring. There's something oddly satisfying about the physics, too; when you finally outmaneuver someone and send them stumbling backward, it feels earned. Definitely not for everyone, but if you've ever wanted to experience sumo without breaking a rib, this is as close as it gets on the N64.
