Play A Day at the Races Online
Race against other jockeys, manage your horse's stamina, time your jumps, and navigate tight turns to finish first in A Day at the Races.
A Day at the Races came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Psygnosis. It was a straightforward racing game from that era, built for quick sessions and simple competition without much fuss.
You control a jockey on horseback, guiding your mount around a track while trying to outpace the other riders. The main goal is to finish first, which involves managing your horse's stamina and timing jumps over fences. Key mechanics include bumping into opponents to slow them down and navigating tight turns without losing speed. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the AI can be unpredictable, sometimes making wild mistakes that add to the challenge. It feels like a chaotic, lighthearted scramble from start to finish.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
