Play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons - Heroes of the Lance Online
Pick a Dragonlance hero, dodge janky jumps, and pray your wizard doesn’t get sneezed on—this NES relic turns tabletop chaos into pixelated pain.

Game Overview
Remember when NES games didn’t hold your hand? Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of the Lance sure doesn’t. You pick one of the iconic Heroes of the Lance—I usually go for Raistlin because magic, even if he’s made of tissue paper—and immediately get thrown into side-scrolling chaos against draconians. The controls are stiff by today’s standards, and the difficulty spikes like a DM who’s had too much coffee, but there’s something charming about how it tries to cram tabletop D&D into an 8-bit cartridge.
You’ll recognize locations and lore if you’ve read the Dragonlance books, and swapping between characters mid-game actually matters (unlike some RPGs where your party might as well be decorative). Just don’t expect modern conveniences—this is the kind of game where you’ll die to a pit trap three times before realizing you needed to crouch-jump. A weird, flawed time capsule for D&D nerds or masochistic retro fans. Bring extra patience.
