Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos came out on the PlayStation Portable in 2007, developed by Idea Factory. It was part of that wave of mid-2000s portable games that tried to blend strategy with deep, sometimes convoluted, world building. The PSP had a lot of these ambitious, niche titles that didn't always find a huge audience but offered something different if you were willing to dig in.

You control multiple factions across three distinct worlds, each with its own leaders, units, and political tensions. Your main goal is to guide these armies through turn based strategic maps, capturing territories and engaging in real time tactical battles when forces collide. Two key mechanics define the experience: managing unit morale and elemental affinities during fights, and dealing with random events that can suddenly shift battle conditions or resource availability. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly if you neglect diplomacy or resource management. It feels like conducting a messy, unpredictable war where adaptation matters more than perfect plans.
