Play Animal Boxing Online

You hold the DS sideways like a book and punch cartoon animals—swipe for hooks, tap for jabs, and watch fights devolve into wild slap battles when rage meters fill. It’s ridiculous until you’re dodging counters and suddenly sweating over a boxing panda.

Game Overview

Animal Boxing came out for the Nintendo DS in 2008, developed by Gammick Entertainment. It was one of those quirky touchscreen focused games that felt very much of its time, using the hardware in a straightforward, almost silly way. You didn't need the buttons much; the whole game was built around the stylus.

You control a boxer and fight against a series of animal opponents, from kangaroos to pandas. The main goal is to win each match by depleting your opponent's health bar. The signature mechanics are all in the controls: you swipe the stylus across the touch screen to throw hooks and uppercuts, tap for jabs, and use defensive gestures to block or dodge incoming punches. When a special rage meter fills, the fight briefly turns into a frantic, screen tapping free for all. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially when animals start using unblockable attacks. It feels chaotic and a little clumsy, but landing a perfect combo and watching a dazed penguin wobble is genuinely satisfying.
