Play Apache Strike Online

You're in a clunky Apache dodging canyon walls while tanks spit pixelated fire at you—controls feel weird at first, but wrecking everything with that old-school jank just works.

Game Overview

Apache Strike came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Interactive Magic. It was one of those mid-90s flight sims that tried to bring helicopter combat to home computers without demanding a high-end setup. The graphics were functional for the time, with chunky terrain and simple enemy models, but it ran smoothly on most machines.

You pilot an AH-64 Apache helicopter through a series of missions, hunting down enemy tanks, helicopters, and installations. The main objective is to complete each assigned task, like destroying all targets or escorting friendly units, while managing your fuel and ammunition. Signature mechanics include navigating using a top-down map view, switching between different weapon systems such as Hellfire missiles and the 30mm chain gun, and manually evading incoming fire. The pacing is methodical; you spend a lot of time scanning the horizon for threats and planning your approach. It feels tense and deliberate, especially when you're low on rockets and still have armor closing in.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
