Play Apache Online
Struggling with the helicopter controls is half the fun—you’ll sweat through takeoffs before diving into desert dogfights where one wrong move gets you shredded by anti-aircraft fire.

Apache was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series released in 1995 by Interactive Magic, Inc. It arrived during a time when flight simulators were pushing the boundaries of what home computers could handle, offering detailed mechanics without the gloss of later 3D accelerators. The game focused on the AH-64 Apache helicopter, placing you in the cockpit for missions that felt grounded in the tech of its era.
You pilot the Apache through a series of combat missions, navigating low over desert terrain to avoid radar and engaging enemy tanks, installations, and other aircraft. The main objective is to complete assigned strikes while managing fuel, ammunition, and damage. Signature mechanics include using Hellfire missiles for long-range targets and the chain gun for closer threats, all while monitoring systems like rotor RPM and engine temperature. The pacing is deliberate, often tense; the difficulty comes from balancing aggression with survival, as enemy fire can quickly end a sortie. It feels immersive and demanding, pulling you into the role of a pilot responsible for every decision.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
