Download Ape Escape - On the Loose ROM – Sony PSP Game

Specter’s monkeys are wrecking history, so you’re jumping through time with a net and weird gadgets—some just sit there, others chuck fruit at you or bolt the second they spot you. That one smug monkey on the ledge? Yeah, you’ll chase him across three eras just to wipe that grin off his face.

Game Overview

So picture this: a rogue albino monkey named Specter gets his hands on a weird sci-fi helmet, suddenly becomes a genius, and decides to rewrite history so monkeys rule the world. Classic monkey logic. Now you’re Spike, hopping through time with a net and a backpack full of gadgets to catch every escaped ape before they mess up the timeline.

The controls take some getting used to—since the PSP doesn’t have dual sticks, you’ll be juggling face buttons to swing your net or use gadgets like the RC car (which, by the way, is way more fun than it sounds). Some monkeys just sit there, but others? They’ll dodge, throw stuff, or straight-up sprint away. You’ll get weirdly invested in chasing down that one monkey who keeps taunting you from a ledge.

Between levels, there are minigames to unlock—snowball fights, boxing matches against Specter, even monkey ping pong. They’re silly, but honestly, after an hour of net-swinging, smacking apes with a paddle feels like therapy. The whole thing’s a remaster of the PS1 original, so if you missed it back then, here’s your chance to see why people still talk about it.

Just don’t be surprised when you start judging real-life monkeys by how hard they’d be to catch.
