Game Overview

Arkanoid (J) is a NES version of that classic brick-breaker arcade game, but with a weird little sci-fi twist—you're piloting a spaceship instead of just moving a paddle. The blocks become this alien barrier you're blasting through, which somehow makes destroying rows of bricks feel more urgent.

At first it's just you and the ball bouncing around, but then power-ups start dropping—lasers, slow-mo, even this weird sticky paddle thing that lets you hold the ball before launching it. Problem is, going for them means taking your eyes off the ball for a second, and that's usually when it slips past you.

The NES version feels a bit stiff compared to the arcade original, but there's something satisfying about chipping away at those walls, watching them crumble piece by piece. Arkanoid (J) turns a simple concept into something just complex enough to keep you hitting start over and over.
