Game Overview

Arkanoid II: Revenge of Doh came out in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Taito Corporation. It was a straightforward sequel in an era when arcade-style games were transitioning to home computers, offering more of what players already liked without reinventing the wheel.

You control a small paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting a ball to break bricks overhead. The goal is to clear each stage by destroying all bricks while avoiding letting the ball fall. Key mechanics include bricks that regenerate if not cleared quickly, others that slide away when hit, and warp gates that unpredictably teleport the ball to different parts of the screen. The pacing is methodical but tense, especially when dealing with the final boss, a giant floating brain that literally swallows your ball if you miss. It feels like a careful game of angles and reflexes, where every shot matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
