Game Overview

Armed Formation feels like someone dug up an old arcade cabinet from the late '80s and polished it just enough to run on modern screens. You start with a handful of little tank units—they move in this weird, blocky formation that actually matters when bullets start flying. At first, I just mashed buttons, but after losing a few times, I realized positioning them like a moving wall works way better than sending them out one by one.

The enemies come in these satisfyingly predictable waves at first, then suddenly throw curveballs—like helicopters that divebomb your back row. There’s something oddly satisfying about the clunky pixel explosions and the way your surviving units automatically regroup. It’s not deep, but it’s the kind of game where you’ll mutter “one more try” at 2 AM without realizing it.

If you miss the days when games didn’t hold your hand but also didn’t overcomplicate things, this nails that vibe.
