Game Overview

Okay, so Armed Dragon Fantasy Villgust is one of those NES RPGs where the fan translation... well, it's something else. First off, yeah, there's swearing—like, full-on F-bombs. Not sure if that's how the original Japanese script felt, but here we are. Some of it fits, some of it just makes you go, "Wait, why?"

Then there's the dialogue. Half the time, townsfolk say things that sound like they were run through Google Translate twice. You'll meet two people in the same town who both randomly mention hoping for good weather, which, sure, maybe that's just how the original game was. But then every village leader is named Butterfly. Not a title, not a nickname—just Butterfly. Apparently, the Japanese version used "chouchou," which does mean butterfly, but... why? No clue. It's bizarre in the best/worst way.

Honestly, the whole thing feels like a weird, slightly broken time capsule. If you're into janky old RPGs with questionable translations, this might just be your jam.
