Double Dragon 5 came out on the Sega Genesis in 1994, published by Williams Entertainment. You control one of the Lee brothers, moving screen by screen to defeat waves of enemies with punches, kicks, and occasional weapons like knives or pipes. The main goal is to rescue Marian once again, fighting through several stages that mix urban streets with industrial areas. Two mechanics stand out: the ability to perform special moves by inputting command combinations (like a rising uppercut), and the two-player co-op that lets you team up with a friend. The pacing is fast, but the difficulty can feel uneven, with some cheap enemy attacks and stiff controls. Playing it feels like a rough, slightly rushed attempt to keep the series going.
