Man, Double Dragon on MS-DOS is like stepping into a time machine—if that time machine had a grainy CRT filter and the occasional keyboard control jank. You’re basically a walking brick wall of fists, elbows, and questionable fashion choices, plowing through waves of goons who apparently didn’t get the memo that jumping into your spin kick is a bad idea.

The two-player co-op is where it shines, assuming your friend doesn’t accidentally elbow you in the back halfway through a combo (classic). The enemies? They’ve got this weird habit of just walking into your punches like they’re late for an appointment with the pavement. And yeah, the MS-DOS version’s missing some arcade flair, but the sheer satisfaction of landing a perfect throw or finally nailing that jump kick on the rooftop level makes up for it.

It’s clunky, it’s unfair at times, and the soundtrack sounds like a keyboard having an identity crisis—but that’s the whole point. This is pure, unfiltered ’80s beat-’em-up chaos. Just don’t blame me when you lose your last life to that guy with the dynamite.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
