Game Overview

Double Dragon on MS-DOS came out in 1988, part of the wave of arcade ports that defined the era. It was developed by Technos Japan and published by MS-DOS Classic Games, bringing the brawler experience home with all its rough edges intact. The game arrived when PC gaming was still finding its feet, competing with consoles and arcade cabinets for attention.

You control either Billy or Jimmy Lee, martial artists fighting to rescue a kidnapped woman from a street gang. The action unfolds screen by screen; you punch, kick, and use weapons like baseball bats and whips against waves of enemies. The game is known for its cooperative play, allowing two players to team up, though friendly fire can turn a partner into a liability. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes quickly, demanding precise timing and patience. It feels raw and immediate, a test of reflexes more than strategy.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
