Game Overview

B.C. Kid (or Bonk’s Adventure, depending on where you played it) is one of those weird, wonderful arcade platformers that just sticks with you. You play as a little caveman with a comically oversized head, and—naturally—you bonk enemies with it. The levels are bright, chaotic, and full of weird little details, like bouncing off mushrooms or chomping down on meat to power up.

What I love is how it doesn’t take itself seriously. One minute you’re headbutting a dinosaur, the next you’re riding a tornado. The controls are simple, but timing those jumps and bonks just right keeps it satisfying. It’s the kind of game where you’ll fail a few times, laugh at the absurdity, and immediately hit restart.

If you’re into retro platformers with personality, this one’s a gem. Just don’t be surprised when you catch yourself humming the music hours later.
