Game Overview

B-Daman Bakugaiden: Victory heno Michi came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by KID and published by Takara. It was part of that wave of late-era GBC titles that tried to squeeze a little more life out of the hardware before the Advance took over. The game is based on the B-Daman toy line, which was a bit like a mix of marbles and miniature action figures, and it translates that concept into a top-down adventure.

You control a young B-Daman player navigating a series of themed worlds, battling other B-Daman in turn-based arena fights. The main goal is to progress through these stages, defeating opponents and eventually challenging the area boss. Signature mechanics include choosing your B-Daman for its unique shot type (straight, lob, or spread) and carefully aiming your shots on a grid-based field to ricochet off walls and hit your target. The pacing is methodical; you need to think about angles and anticipate your opponent's moves. It feels like a tactical puzzle disguised as an action game, where a single well-placed shot can turn the whole match around.
