Play Bad Dudes Online
You’re a mullet-sporting hero punching through waves of ninjas, grabbing burgers mid-fight while the president yells encouragement from a chopper. Absolute ridiculous chaos, best with a buddy.
Bad Dudes came out in 1988 for MS-DOS, part of that wave of arcade ports that made home computers feel a little rowdier. It was developed by Data East, a company known for arcade cabinets, and it shows in the game's straightforward, action-first design. At the time, it was just another side-scrolling brawler vying for attention, but it had a certain goofy charm that set it apart.
You control one of two dudes, Blade or Striker, fighting through screen after screen of enemies to rescue President Ronnie from the ninja clan DragonNinja. The main objective is simple: move right and punch everything. Signature mechanics include picking up weapons like knives dropped by foes, grabbing health-restoring burgers mid-combat, and occasionally jumping onto platforms or dodging enemy projectiles. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can feel cheap with enemies swarming from both sides. It feels like a messy, frantic cartoon where you’re just barely holding on.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
