Bargon Attack is this weird little MS-DOS gem where you’re basically trying to stop aliens from wrecking Earth—classic premise, but the execution is surprisingly quirky. You’ll dodge Bargons (those are the aliens), shoot a few when you have to, and spend most of your time scratching your head over puzzles. Like, there’s this one underwater section where you’ve gotta snipe tiny crabs without hitting the big angry one, and it’s way harder than it sounds.
Half the game is just figuring out what random items do and where to use them. You’ll pick up some obscure gadget, stare at it for five minutes, then realize it opens a door three screens back. It’s got that old-school adventure game vibe where trial and error is part of the charm—or frustration, depending on your patience level. The shooting bits are simple, but the puzzles? They’ll make you think.
Honestly, it’s the kind of game where you either love the janky charm or rage-quit after the crab mini-game. No in-between.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
