Game Overview
Battle Beast is this weird little DOS fighting game where you pick these tiny, adorable animals—then watch them turn into jacked-up robot monsters and beat the stuffing out of each other. It’s like if someone took Mortal Kombat, replaced all the fighters with angry cybernetic hamsters, and threw in some bizarre mini-games between rounds.
The first time I played, I went with the rabbit because, well, it’s a rabbit. Big mistake. That thing sprouted missile launchers and got wrecked by a robo-chicken in like ten seconds. The pixel art’s got this goofy Saturday morning cartoon vibe, and half the fun is seeing what ridiculous upgrades your critter gets when it transforms.
Between fights, you’re doing random stuff like racing through mazes or smashing crates for power-ups. It’s janky, unbalanced, and honestly kind of amazing. If you’re into retro fighters with zero chill, this one’s a trip.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
