Bible Adventures came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed by Wisdom Tree. It was one of those unlicensed cartridges that showed up in certain stores, a strange but earnest attempt to blend scripture with the side scrolling platformers that dominated the NES library. You control different biblical characters like Noah, Moses, and David across three separate adventures. Signature mechanics include carrying heavy objects like sheep or baskets overhead, screen by screen exploration with some light puzzle solving, and avoiding enemies rather than fighting them directly. The pacing is slow, almost methodical, and the physics feel awkward and heavy, making some tasks more tedious than challenging.
