Game Overview

Big Bird’s Egg Catch is one of those weirdly charming Atari 2600 games where you help Big Bird collect eggs sliding down chutes—because apparently, that’s how county fairs work. The first few rounds ease you in with just two straight chutes, and Big Bird snaps right into place when you move him. It’s simple enough that my little cousin could play it without throwing the joystick.

But don’t get too comfortable. By game three, the chutes start zigzagging, and the eggs come faster. By game six, you’re dealing with crisscrossing chaos, and Big Bird won’t auto-align anymore—miss by a pixel, and that egg’s gone. The later levels get brutal: invisible eggs, shrinking chutes, and golden eggs that give you extra lives (or, uh, extra "broken eggs").

It’s definitely aimed at kids, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about nailing a perfect run when the chutes are practically spaghetti. Just don’t expect deep strategy—this is pure, frantic egg-catching nostalgia.
