Play Big Game Fishing Online

Scrape together cash for bait, then pray you hook the right fish—one wrong move and you're stranded at sea, watching your boat fees drain what little money you've got left. The real monsters lurk up north, but good luck getting there without snapping your line on some thrashing swordfish first.

Game Overview

Big Game Fishing was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't come from a major developer or publisher. It was one of those straightforward simulations from the era, focused on a single activity without much fanfare. You played as a deep sea fisherman, and the goal was simple: catch big fish, earn money, and upgrade your gear to catch even bigger ones.

You control your boat on a map of the ocean, moving between fishing spots while managing your limited cash for fuel and bait. The core gameplay involves selecting your bait, dropping your line, and then engaging in a timing-based mini game to reel the fish in without breaking the line. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with a real risk of bankruptcy if you waste resources on small catches or failed attempts. It feels like a tense battle of patience against both the sea and your own dwindling wallet.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
