Play Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S - Jougai Rantou! Shuyaku S Online

Picking your favorite Sailor Scout and wrecking monsters never gets old—Usagi’s clumsy schoolbag swings turn into screen-clearing Moon Tiara throws, and Mercury’s freeze attacks look straight outta the anime. Jupiter’s thunder punches feel brutal when you time ‘em right.

Game Overview

I picked up Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou! Shuyaku S on the Super Nintendo back in 1994, a game developed by Angel. It was one of those side-scrolling beat 'em ups that felt right at home on the SNES, a system that had plenty of them, but this one had the Sailor Moon license, which made it stand out to fans. You don't see many games from that era letting you play as the full team of Sailor Scouts, so it had its own little niche.

You control one of the Sailor Scouts, moving screen by screen through urban environments, beating up monsters from the Death Busters. Your main goal is to clear each stage of enemies, leading up to a boss fight. The combat is straightforward; you have a basic attack combo and a special move that uses up a bit of your energy bar. Each character has a unique special attack, like Sailor Moon's Moon Tiara throw or Sailor Mars' fireball. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty is manageable, though some enemy patterns can trip you up if you're not paying attention. It feels satisfying to plow through crowds of enemies with flashy, anime-accurate moves.
