You play as Shane, a young man drawn to a cursed island where you fight monsters across interconnected screens. The goal is to lift the island's curse by defeating powerful bosses and uncovering the truth behind the darkness. Combat happens in real time; you time your strikes just before an enemy attacks to maximize damage, and certain monsters change behavior when they notice you, either charging or fleeing. Weapons degrade with use, so you constantly gather materials to craft new gear. The pacing is deliberate, with some grinding expected, and the difficulty can spike in later areas. It feels like a hands-on, slightly rough adventure where your attention to timing and resource management really matters.
