Game Overview

Blood is one of those old-school MS-DOS shooters that somehow still feels brutal and fresh today. You play as Caleb, a betrayed gunslinger out for revenge, blasting through cultists, zombies, and all sorts of nightmare fuel. The levels are these maze-like gauntlets where you’re hunting for keys, dodging traps, and occasionally stumbling into hidden areas packed with ridiculous weapons—like a voodoo doll that makes enemies explode or an aerosol can you can light on fire for a makeshift flamethrower.

What sets it apart from Doom and the rest is how mean it is. Enemies don’t just shoot at you—they throw cleavers, breathe fire, or swarm you in packs. And the weapons? Almost all of them have alternate fire modes, so your shotgun can blast two barrels at once, or you can dual-wield pistols like some undead cowboy. The voice lines when you frag someone in multiplayer are hilariously over-the-top too.

It’s got that classic '90s FPS jank—some of the platforming bits are awkward, and the later levels get downright sadistic—but that’s part of the charm. If you’re into retro shooters with personality (and a lot of gore), this one’s still worth firing up.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
