Play Bomberman Hero Online
You’re tossing bombs in 3D now, riding mine carts and hunting hidden switches while Nitros try to wreck your planet. The controls feel odd at first, but nailing a tricky bomb throw or finding a secret route just clicks.

Bomberman Hero on the N64 shakes up the usual formula a bit—instead of just grid-based mayhem, you're jumping around 3D levels, dodging Nitros (those jerks trying to blow up Planet Bomber), and hunting down Pibot's stolen disk. The controls take a second to click if you're used to classic Bomberman, but once they do, it's weirdly satisfying to lob bombs at weird angles or ride mine carts through lava pits.
There's a ton of levels—71, if you're counting—and some actually get pretty creative with obstacles and enemy patterns. I got stuck on this one ice planet stage for way too long because I kept missing a hidden switch behind a breakable wall. And yeah, you still collect power-ups (speed boosts, remote bombs), but the vehicles are the real surprise—nothing like suddenly piloting a submarine to take out underwater drones.
It's not the deepest game, but there's something charming about the janky early 3D movement mixed with that classic "wait, did I just trap myself with my own bomb?" panic.
