Bomberman’s stranded on a weird planet after his ship crashes—now he’s gotta hunt down missing parts and recaptured monsters while upgrading his bombs with scraps and stolen enemy tricks.
So Bomberman’s finally heading home after a mission, right? Except some jerk swipes his rocket engines mid-flight, forcing a crash landing—and to make things worse, all the monsters he captured bust loose. Now he’s stuck on some weird planet, scrambling to find his missing parts while rounding up escapees.
It’s a top-down RPG where you wander through four distinct areas, chatting up locals (some helpful, some… not so much) and fighting monsters to get stronger. The upgrades are fun—you’ll tweak your bombs with new parts or learn skills from defeated enemies. At first, I kept forgetting to swap abilities mid-fight, but once it clicks, you feel like a bomb-chucking genius.
Oh, and if you’ve got a buddy with another Game Boy Color and a link cable, there’s a versus mode. Nothing like watching your friend panic when you trap them in a corner with a well-placed remote bomb.
It’s classic Bomberman but with a little more adventure—and way more explosions.
