Play Brandish (Japan) Online
You creep through tight dungeon corridors, twisting the camera to peek around corners before skeletons lunge at you—every swing and dodge has to be deliberate, or you’re done. The puzzles make you squint at walls for hidden switches, and the music nails that eerie Falcom vibe.

Brandish is one of those weird, claustrophobic dungeon crawlers where you’re constantly spinning the camera to see around corners—kinda like a slower, more methodical version of a roguelike. The SNES port feels a little stiff compared to the PC original, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the way combat works. You’re not just mashing buttons—you’ve gotta time your swings and sidesteps, or those skeletons will absolutely wreck you.
It’s got that classic Falcom charm, too—moody music, cryptic puzzles, and way too many hidden switches. The first time I played, I got stuck for half an hour because I didn’t notice a tiny crack in the wall. Still, once it clicks, the dungeon layouts start making this weird sense. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
