Game Overview

BS Arkanoid - Doh It Again came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1997, developed and published by Taito. It was part of the late-era SNES library, a time when many developers were squeezing the last bits of power out of the aging hardware. This version of Arkanoid arrived through the Broadcast Satellite network in Japan, offering updated stages and a fresh coat of 16-bit polish.

You control the Vaus paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting a single ball to break all the bricks in each stage. The core mechanics remain familiar; you angle your shots, catch power-ups that alter the ball or paddle, and avoid letting the ball drop. Some stages introduce obstacles, moving blocks, or indestructible bricks that demand careful planning. The pacing is methodical but tense, especially in later stages where the layouts grow complex and mistakes are costly. It feels satisfying to clear a screen through timing and control, one precise bounce at a time.
