You play as Bubsy, a bobcat who runs and jumps through side scrolling stages, collecting yarn balls and avoiding enemies like aliens and robots. Signature mechanics include his pounce attack, which lets you bounce on enemies, and his ability to glide short distances by spreading his arms after a jump. The pacing is fast, sometimes too fast, and the level design can feel unforgiving with blind jumps and cheap enemy placements.
