Game Overview

Burnout Legends on PSP is basically a greatest hits of the early Burnout games—all the chaotic racing and car-smashing goodness crammed into your pocket. The moment you start, you're thrown into races where winning isn't enough—you've gotta shove opponents into walls, drift like a maniac, and rack up takedowns to unlock faster cars. The crashes are gloriously over-the-top, and the physics make every wreck feel satisfyingly destructive.

World Tour mode keeps you busy with different event types, from straight-up races to Road Rage (where takedowns are the goal) and Pursuit (where you play as a cop ramming a fleeing suspect). But my favorite is still Crash mode—just plow into traffic at full speed and watch the pileup unfold like a beautiful disaster. Multiplayer’s a blast too, especially the party modes where you compete to cause the most mayhem.

It’s impressive how well they packed the Burnout experience onto the PSP. Even the load times aren’t bad, which is a miracle for a handheld port. If you miss the days when racing games were less about realism and more about pure, unhinged fun, this one’s still a riot.
