Burnout Legends came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2005, developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. It was one of those early PSP titles that really showed off what the handheld could do, especially if you were into fast, aggressive racing games. At a time when portable gaming was still finding its feet with 3D graphics, this one stood out simply because it felt so immediate and intense.

You control a selection of high speed cars across different event types, from standard races to the signature Crash mode. The main goal is usually to win races by any means necessary, which often involves shoving rivals into oncoming traffic or using your boost strategically after near misses. Key mechanics include building up your boost meter by driving dangerously close to other cars or into opposing lanes, and triggering takedowns by ramming opponents until they wreck. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty can spike during later events where precision and aggression both matter. It feels reckless and satisfying, like you're constantly balancing on the edge of control just to go faster.
