California Games II takes everything that made the original fun and cranks it up—now you're shredding waves on a bodyboard, catching air on a snowboard, or pulling off sketchy skate tricks. The hang-gliding feels weirdly floaty in the best way, and the jetski races get surprisingly intense when you're dodging buoys at full speed.
It's got that classic Amiga charm—bright colors, chunky sprites, and controls that take a minute to get used to (especially the skateboarding). Once it clicks though, you'll be trying to beat your own high scores for hours. The snowboarding downhill run is my personal favorite—just don't wipe out at the last second.
