It was one of those side-scrolling beat 'em ups that felt right at home on the system, with its comic book heroes and straightforward action. The game let you step into the boots of an Avenger, which was a pretty solid hook at the time.

You control Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, or Vision, moving screen by screen and punching or shooting through endless enemies. The main goal is to stop Red Skull's plans, fighting bosses like the Mandarin and Whirlwind along the way. Signature mechanics include using each hero's unique projectile, like Hawkeye's arrows or Iron Man's repulsor beams, and occasionally switching characters between stages. The pacing is fast, though the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially during later levels. It feels chaotic and a little rough around the edges, but landing a solid hit on a robot never gets old.
