Play Cartoon Network Racing Online
Pick your favorite Cartoon Network hero (or Professor Utonium, for some reason), then slide into chaotic races where Blossom freezes rivals and Dexter’s gadgets give him the weirdest advantages. Drift through show-themed tracks tossing power-ups while Johnny Bravo heckles you from behind.

Cartoon Network Racing came out for the Nintendo DS in 2006, published by The Game Factory. It was part of that wave of licensed kart racers that tried to capture some of the Mario Kart magic, but with a roster of characters I actually watched on TV after school. The DS was perfect for this kind of pick-up-and-play game, something you could mess around with for a few minutes between classes or on a long car trip.
You choose a driver like Courage the Cowardly Dog or the Powerpuff Girls and race through tracks based on shows like Dexter's Laboratory or Ed, Edd n Eddy. The main goal is just to finish first, of course, but you spend most of your time grabbing item boxes that spit out character-specific weapons; Samurai Jack gets a sword slash, while Cow gets a bowling ball to roll behind her. You use the bottom screen for a map and to activate special moves, which adds a bit of strategy to the usual drifting and boosting. The races are short and fairly simple, not too hard for younger players but still fun for a quick laugh. It feels exactly like throwing your favorite cartoons into a blender with a generic racing game and seeing what colorful mess comes out.
