Columns is like Tetris’s colorful cousin—instead of single blocks, you get columns of three gems dropping down. Match three of the same color in a row (up, down, or even diagonally), and they vanish. The real fun starts when you set off chain reactions—clear one line, and the falling pieces might set up another match right after.

Diagonal matches score big, and if you line up four or five, the points really stack up. There’s also a "Flash" mode where you dig through a pile to remove a specific block, which gets surprisingly tense when you crank up the starting rows. It’s simple to pick up, but those combos keep you hooked.

Still one of the best puzzle games from the Genesis era, honestly.
