Play Comet Busters! Online
Blast apart space rocks with friends while dodging UFOs—those asteroids shatter into faster chunks or bounce like pinballs, depending how you tweak the rules. Four players crammed around one keyboard or fighting over a janky network setup, all while MIDI music cranks up the chaos.

Comet Busters! came out in 1994 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by HAMCO Software. It was one of those straightforward arcade-style shooters that felt right at home on the platform, a time when local multiplayer often meant crowding around a single computer with friends.
You control a small triangular ship, maneuvering it around the screen to blast apart incoming comets before they crash into your defenses. The main goal is to survive wave after wave of increasingly fragmented space debris, which splits into smaller, faster pieces when shot. You can tweak the game rules to change how the rocks behave; some settings make them bounce off the edges like pinballs, while others just speed everything up. The pacing is relentless, especially with multiple players, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as UFOs begin weaving through the debris field. It feels like a frantic, cooperative scramble where every shot and dodge matters.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
