Play Dark Planet Online
You crash-land on a hostile alien planet, blasting neon horrors with a plasma cannon while your suit ticks down—every energy cell you grab buys you a few more seconds to survive. The pixel art oozes that grimy VHS aesthetic, and those split-second shield decisions make each run tense.

Dark Planet throws you straight into a neon-drenched alien world where everything wants to kill you—which is great, because you've got this sweet plasma cannon that makes things explode real nice. The first level starts with your ship crash-landing, and within seconds you're dodging acid-spitting creatures while scrambling to collect energy cells before the planet's toxic atmosphere eats through your suit.
What I like is how it mixes old-school arcade reflexes with little tactical choices—do you burn your limited shield power to bulldoze through a swarm, or save it for the inevitable boss that's probably lurking behind that pulsating egg sac? The pixel art has this gritty, VHS-static vibe that makes the whole thing feel like some lost 80s sci-fi anime.
Fair warning: it's brutal. You'll die a lot. But each run gives you just enough upgrades to make the next attempt feel possible, right up until a new horror scuttles into view.
