Deadly Duck came out in 1982 for the Atari 2600, published by 20th Century Fox. It was one of many simple, single screen shooters from that era, built for quick sessions and straightforward action. The game didn't try to be complex; it just dropped you into a small world and let you deal with the mess.

You control a duck that walks left and right, shooting a gun from its beak. Your goal is to shoot the crabs that are stealing bricks from the wall behind you. If they take too many, the wall collapses and you lose. You also have to avoid falling debris from above, and if you shoot the dragonflies that fly across the screen, they get angry and start dive bombing you. The game moves fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as more enemies appear. It feels frantic and a little absurd, like you're barely keeping things under control.
