Game Overview

Deadly Duck is one of those weirdly charming Atari 2600 games where you play as a duck—armed with bill bullets, because why not? Your job is to fend off crabs that keep stealing bricks from the sides of the screen and dropping them on you. Miss a shot, and you’re duck pancake. The bricks stick around for a bit too, blocking your path, so you’re constantly dodging and weaving while trying to clear the mess.

Things get wilder after the first level when dragonflies show up. Shooting them gives you points, but they don’t take it well—they start dropping bombs in retaliation. The more you tick them off, the more explosives they chuck at you. It’s a chaotic little balancing act of scoring points and not getting blown up or crushed. You get three ducks (lives) before it’s game over, and honestly, you’ll probably lose them faster than you think.

It’s simple, frantic, and exactly the kind of thing that would’ve had 80s kids yelling at their TVs.
