Die Hard on the NES came out in 1992, published by Activision. It was one of those many movie tie-ins that tried to capture the action of the film on the limited hardware of the time. You play as John McClane, of course, trying to survive a hostage situation in a high-rise building.
You control McClane through a series of interconnected floors, moving screen by screen to clear out terrorists. You start with just your fists, but you can pick up guns dropped by enemies to fight more effectively. The main goal is to find and disarm explosives before a timer runs out, all while managing your health and ammo. The pacing is tense, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with enemies respawning quickly in cleared areas. It feels like a constant scramble to stay alive and ahead of the chaos.
