Disney’s Jungle Book on the Sega Genesis is one of those rare movie tie-ins that actually gets it right. You play as Mowgli, swinging from vines, dodging Kaa’s hypnotic coils, and bouncing off Baloo’s belly like a trampoline—which, honestly, never gets old. The first level throws you straight into the jungle with those bright, cartoony graphics and that bouncy soundtrack that sticks in your head for days.

Some of the platforming can be surprisingly tough—those monkeys don’t make it easy—but the controls feel tight, and there’s something satisfying about nailing a tricky jump or finally beating Shere Khan after a few too many tries. It’s got that classic Sega energy, just with a lot more Disney charm. If you ever wanted to live out your jungle kid fantasies, this is as close as it gets.
