Play Dragon Ball Z - Gokuu Gekitouden (Japan) Online
Pick Goku or Vegeta, throw pixelated energy blasts, and relive those 90s DBZ brawls—simple controls, big nostalgia, and Raditz is still a pain.

Dragon Ball Z: Gokuu Gekitouden is one of those Game Boy fighters that somehow nails the chaotic energy of the anime despite the tiny screen. You pick Goku, Vegeta, or a handful of others, and suddenly you're throwing pixelated Kamehamehas like it's 1992. The controls are straightforward—no complicated combos here—but landing a perfectly timed Spirit Bomb on Vegeta feels weirdly satisfying even now.
The sprites are chunky but full of personality, and the soundtrack? Pure nostalgia. It’s not as deep as later DBZ games, but that’s kind of the point—just pick a character and brawl. Raditz still annoys me, by the way. Some things never change.
If you’ve got a soft spot for retro fighters or grew up with the Saiyan saga, this one’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect flashy cutscenes or a roster the size of Budokai.
