Dragon Buster came out for the NES in 1984, developed by Namco. Two mechanics stand out: a double jump that gives some freedom in platforming, and a life bar that lets you take a few hits before dying. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with careful exploration needed to avoid cheap deaths. It feels like a thoughtful, sometimes frustrating grind where every small victory matters.
