You choose one of eight monarchs, each ruling a kingdom on the continent of Legendra, and your goal is to unite the entire land under your banner. The core of the game is split between a strategic map where you manage territories, recruit generals, and move your armies, and real-time battles where you command up to 100 soldiers in large-scale clashes. You don't directly control every unit; instead, you issue general orders to your troops and commanders, who then autonomously carry out the fight.
