Dragon Quest: Torneko’s Adventure 2 Advance is one of those weird little spin-offs that somehow works perfectly. You play as Torneko—y’know, the chubby merchant from Dragon Quest IV—except now he’s dungeon crawling like some kind of bargain-hunting Indiana Jones. The floors are random, the loot’s everywhere, and half the time you’re agonizing over whether to ditch a mediocre sword for a suspiciously heavy pot.

It’s got that classic Dragon Quest charm, but with a roguelike twist—you’ll die a lot, but each run feels like progress when you unlock new gear or stumble on a secret shop. And yeah, the inventory management is half the battle. Nothing hurts more than finding an amazing item… right before your bag’s full. If you like dungeon crawlers with personality (and don’t mind yelling at the GBA when a mimic eats your best shield), this one’s a blast.
