Dragon Tail (Japan) is one of those weird little Game Boy games that makes you go, "Wait, why didn't more people talk about this?" At first glance, it looks like another fantasy hack-and-slash, but then you realize your main weapon is a freaking dragon tail—like, you literally whip enemies with it, and the physics are oddly satisfying once you get the timing down.

The pixel art has that classic early-90s charm, all bright colors and chunky sprites, and the music nails that tinny-but-catchy Game Boy sound. I spent way too long just flicking the tail around empty rooms because the animation is so goofily fluid.
