Dragon Tales: Dragon Wings came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by Crawfish Interactive and published by NewKidCo. It was one of those licensed games that tried to capture the look and feel of the cartoon, fitting right in with the era's handheld offerings aimed at younger players.
You control either Cassie or Ord, flying through obstacle courses by weaving through rings and dodging hazards, all while racing against a timer. The main goal is to complete flight lessons, which get progressively harder as you carry cargo that affects your speed and handling. Trophies are awarded for clean runs, but the real satisfaction comes from executing a smooth, controlled landing after a tricky sequence. The game feels light and straightforward, though later stages demand precise timing and memorization.
